TFS workspace problem

TF400017: The workspace properties table for the local workspace <<systemname>>:<<username>> could not be opened
Exception of type Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.InvalidWorkspacePropertiesTableException was thrown

found out that if you delete $tf you will lost all your pending changes and need to re-get latest.
If you can still find the *.tfb files, then delete all the *.tf1 files and rename all tfb to tf1

After removing workspace and readding again solved the problem

Solution 2

The easiest solution is to create a new working directory.
1. Rename the old one.
2. Delete the Current active working folder from working folders: Source Control Explorer>Workspace Edit > Working folders
3. Create the working folder again.
4. Get latest version of your solution.
