Hi all experts,
I would like to add a Solaris server (T5220) into my network. here are the network configuration:

IP range: 192.168.135.*
Subnet mask: 255.255.248.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.128.1

I tried to use ifconfig to modify the existing ethenet port (e1000g0) to the above static IP range (192.168.135.107), but I don't know how to configure subnet mask and default gateway.

and I got to know that I also need to configure ROUTE in Solaris...

I got zero knowledge about all these setting... can anyone help?

Use the Solaris man pages to get more information. Type man route etc in a terminal window and you will get the documentation. Check the directories and files in /etc to find the existing setup.

It is too many years since I was setting up Solaris systems to remember the exact commands.
