Opensource testing tool software

Greetings!

I was wondering what opensource testing tool software you recommend for big systems w/c are developed in java w/ oracle. I have no experience in automated testing so am looking for a software to start with. It would also be used to benchmark other tools, hopefully licensed like QTP, Loadrunner, etc. Many thanks in advance! =)
