How to add website in google search

Hi, i want to add my website in google search.For that i had add the url using my google account and add provided by google webmaster tool in my site index page and after that i verified it but what will be the next step i had to follow? By searching in google my site link is not in the list.Please help me that what i have to do next.

It is not an instant process: it can take quite some time before your web site will appear in Google searches - be patient: you should re-read all of the instructions; form what I recall it will tell you that.

Better try some SEO tips. I guess Google itself published some Search Engine Optimization guides. Can you search for that?
