Why didnt you like the idea of server side coding and post back? Why did you decide to use remote scripting for this purpose?
I liked your code and it really helped me develop the chat aplication. But just want to know the reason why you chose this path as I am a newbie and would like to know more about web coding and concepts.

Yet another person who posts for the first time on this account, yet is using the forums in an inappropriate and ignorant way to post responses to people without replying to the original thread. How do you expect the person you're responding to, to see this and recognise that it's come from someone they spoke to, who is too rude to use the same account to reply ? What is the use of this post ?

Your question is moronic. No chat program worth anything requires you to do a postback to send a message or see if someone spoke to you.
