Hi everyone. This is my first post and I'm totally new here, so if I break any rules I apologize.
I have a fairly complex (to me anyways) project I need done for my website, and I don't know where to find the right developer to work on it. I need a widget that third party site owners can VERY EASILY embed onto their website or webpage with just a simple copy and paste.
The basic concept is that it'll have one input line for a location (zip code, city/state, address) and a search button. When someone enters in their location and submits it, it accesses my server and uses the haversine formula to sort the results. It then displays them on the third party site either in the widget box or maybe a separate overlay type popup.
My question isn't how do I do this. I'd like to know how I go about finding the right developer to work on this specific type of project. How do I go about finding the right developer for any type of project?
I do all of my coding, design, development, etc on my own, and have never really had to hire somebody else to do anything for me. Now that I do need to, I don't know where to look.
