I am looking for an open source Cloud PaaS

Hello all,

I am starting my thesis on Cloud Computing.
I have to buld a cloud in order for the students at my University to log in and be able to choose the courses that they want to attend at each semester.

My proffessor and I decide it that it is going to be more like a project and we are going to use an Open Source Cloud PaaS.

I have looked up online and read some about the different options I have.
But I would also like to get more opinions. So, what Open Source Cloud Paas would you choose?
