difficulty while installing usin USB into PC

I copied ubuntu installation package into USB and commected to pc tried to boot from usb but installation failed it is not started from the usb it boot normally
connected to pc i entered int windows and tried to install ununtu using the options it provided but it is also failed show me the way please...
one thing cd drive is not working
i want the solution
how to install ubuntu using USB
please help me...
