Problem installing WSO2 WSF-PHP - probably an openSSL problem?

Hi guys,
I have a problem while trying to install WSO2 WSF-PHP
i am extremely new in Web Service Security. :)

I followed the instruction at http://wso2.org/project/wsf/php/2.0.0/docs/install_guide.html
number 2 (for windows)

My first question is at no 2.2. Building, should i really build a new environment? because i based my PHP and web service under XAMPP. I don't really understand if i have to build another structure.

in the sub 2.4, i followed the instruction until finished with no problem.
When i copy and try to run the samples, they don't work.

i assumed that i have something wrong with my OpenSSL. I downloaded openssl-0.9.8g_win32 version and i copied everything in its bin to my apache's bin folder. That's it. I don't have anymore idea of how to install it more. Is that enough for the installation? Then i read that i also have to configure my apache with ssl as well. i don't know how.. is this my problem?
After i copied the OpenSSL.dll, i can show https://localhost perfectly though..

i'd really appreciate any help :)
