I've installed SQL 2012 Enterprise on a Win 2008 R2 server and it works on a local machine but cannot get it to broadcast over my LAN so I may access it from another computer in the LAN.

I have tried to read through MSDN but reading that is like reading a half baked cake with a maze built into forcing the need to chase all over to try and find an answer that is never clearly given. I feel like a dog chasing it's tail.

Can someone PLEASE advise what the step by steps are to get my SQL Server to be able to be seen and accessible by the network.
