I have found the tool that i am looking for, now i am looking to make one similar
The tool can be found here http://www.danusoft.com/free.html[^]

It is call AD User Lookup, How is this possible as i would like to find a similar tool But have it query Active Directory for the 2k pre name then pass it into a tool like this then pass the ipaddress to remote assistance or remote desktop. The main part about this is finding out how a tool like this works. Any help would be greatly appreciated by 6 other system administrators that i work with.

Sincerely,
Chris

This software is… well, maybe not the complete fake but something useless (and probably also close-source, then it is effectively the evil). You can configure such hot spot using just Windows in no time, without any 3rd-party software. This is called using "Hosted Network" for connection sharing. Please read about it: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd815252%28v=vs.85%29.aspx[^].

See also: http://winsupersite.com/faqtip/windows-7-tip-week-use-wireless-hosted-networking-share-internet-connection-wirelessly[^].

And this is the simple instruction manual for non-educated users, in the style of "grandmother's recipe". Yes, it works. This is one of the many manuals of this sort on this topic: http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/article.php/3849841[^].

That was only about the product you have found. As to the rest of your question, I just could not understand what you are trying to achieve. I don't understand how it can be related to this product and your desire "to make one similar", sorry. If you explain it, we can discuss it.

I am trying to figure out how to make a similar program from the one above. I want to say that it is using wmic control to get the domain users up address. I cannot figure out why it needs the domain name and the username or windows are 2k name in order to retrieve the ipaddress that the user is logged into. If you can elaborate on how or what makes this possible I would appreciate it.

It's not really needed. I have no idea how this application works, I only know that what it advertized is already done in Windows and see no miracle in that. Maybe this is purely redundant, or something else is done. I don't understand why anyone should take interest in such 3rd-party products. To me, it looks like pure hype...

Here is the issue, the system administrators cannot get the computer names of the most current logged in users in the domain. They don't want to use a third party tool. They want to he able to query the username in active directory then retrieve the username from the domain. I've have tried 7 ways from sunday and have been unable to get it to work. But this application mentioned above does for some reason or another.

Your right! so i have instead opted to make a logon script that will get the computers information and push that information to a text file in our domain from an open share. I am having some difficulty with it so if you could look at my new question and or provide a solution that would be awesome. Thanks again, and i do with to have this post deleted.

Great! But first, will you accept the answer formally now (green "Accept" button)? As you agree with me now, I hope this answer deserves it.

As to deleting the question... We don't encourage it, because the answers could be useful for other people. I don't think you should feel embarrassed with your question, or something like that; there was nothing wrong with that. The sharing Internet access via Windows administration is a useful thing to know.

Thank you.
