I am struggling with a Log Shipping issue. Have a number of databases on my primary server that I would like to use Log Shipping to replicate to a server in my datacenter. The primary server is a SQL 2005 and the databases are still in compatibility mode . My secondary server is Sql 2005.

The first database I setup is working perfectly. The next database I setup looked like it was good it backed up and restored onto my secondary server, trn log backups are building on my network share and the copy job is copying from the network share to the secondary server. The restore job runs and shows as Succeeded. But the transaction log shipping report shows that the restore has exceeded its threshold. If I run a query to see restore date, it looks like it is just the initial restore. I have the local file folder set with everyone read & write. What could be going on? And why is the first database working without issue. There are no SQL Server or SQL Agent errors in the log. Job history shows that Copy and restore jobs are running on schedule, job history shows "succeeded". But no restores after full backup and restore of database.

I have disabled all of my other backups on these databases as I was running an hourly full backup and transaction log backups, but it does not seem to make a difference.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong or why I am getting no errors but no transaction log restores?

I cleared all trn files before restore.

Thanks,
sree
