How to deal with bio metric device exceptions

I have bio metric attendance device which I want to connect to C# application using visual studio 2012. I have included device assembly files to the project. But when I try to execute some function on the device, it throws an un handled exception which doesn't provide enough error information. I want some exception which should provide me the enough error information. I have checked the device documentation but it couldn't seem to be helpful. Is there a way to do this? Thanks

Okay, perhaps you came to deal with a bad manufacturer not providing sufficient documentation. But in all cases, you are more informed than we are. We don't even know what is that manufacturer. At least you can address their customer service. You did not provide any useful information to help you with an answer.
