JQuery Grid When press save button with a reuired filed left balnk ,error pops up and save button dispappears

I have Jqgrid having columns with editable : true and required : true.Once click on the edit button ,in that place where the edit button was ,there is save and cancel button to save the row after editing.if I make the required column left blank,then a pop up is displayed and says field is required at the same time save cancel is disappeared and edit come again even though the column is still in editable mode .Here my requirement is ,save and cancel should not be replaced with edit button when the column is ready for getting value .
Please give a solution
