Deploy .wsp file in sharepoint 2010

I have one solution created in visual studio 2010,created .wsp file and deployed.

when I add a new webpart and deploy it is working on test server and can add on page.

But when I deploy same .wsp on Main server, webpart is not showing.

How it is possible???
Am I missing any reference???

Have you activated the feature in Site Collection Features ?

Yes features activated.Is it necessary to first deactivate and then active.
Can you pl give me whole process of deployment.

Are you adding webpart manually or by packaging you are trying to create page and add webpart into them?

After installing WSP using Powershell 'Add-SPSolution/Install-SPSolution' command

1] Check Feature is Activated.
2] Check your webpart is visible in proper group during adding webpart. {Default Group is 'Custom'}
3] Check you have added webpart on page in webpart zone.
