Detect an android device is connected via USB cable using C#

Hi,
I m trying to build an application which can send text messages to the contacts of a connected Android phone. So as the first step I need to check whether an android device is connected via a USB port and the phone should be an Android phone. And I m using C# for this application.
So guys please help me..........
