How Do I Set Animation Image Of Loading

Hi...I design a aspx page in visual studio..And using ajax load method for loading pages..
But when i click any link before coming of particular page i want some loading animation image certain time only..
for that i use many effects like show,hide,fadein,fadeout,fadetoggle etc...But these effects not giving proper solution...and i design my page with master page...so i dont know how to use timer control...so any body please provide solution...thanks in advance...

Hi king...thanks for your response...dont worry with only progress bar...I want some loading image thats it...No issues about only progress bar...If there is loading image or any thing else...
