Google is your friend.
A starting point could be the "Software Testing" page at Wikipedia[^].
Microsoft itself provides some guidance: "Testing for Continuous Delivery with Visual Studio 2012"[^].

I took the ISEB Software Testing course several years ago and found it to be excellent.
