I have 3,4 dynamic asp.net web pages, i want to host it on server. then later on updates can be made to these files. I need to know that what is suitable for this, asp.net empty website or asp.net web application.

Please also note that updates to that files are will be made regularly in a week. Just like php, we only made changes to that file on live hosting and there is no effect on other pages.

Hi,

.Net Empty WebSite is suitable for You !

For Update Any Page

You Can Directly Copy one .aspx Page and its aspx.cs/aspx.vb file after Publish.

If you Used any Web controls Means Need to Copy ascx, ascx.cs ,aspx &aspx.cs files

But

In Web Application all file Converted into DLL. So Cant Possible

Thank you !

Yes ! Its Possible !
It depends on your intended usage, your development strategy and goals. Different aspects of this choice are summarized here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd547590%28v=vs.110%29.aspx#summary_of_differences[^].

In my project, the instructor asked me to live my site on any server, then on each week add new pages to that site. I read on Google that to publish asp.net site, the whole project has to be build. but how this can be done on live server. I have not much knowledge on working with hosting server. so i want to confirm the easiest way that I can do my task.
