Sharepoint 2010 Term store management tool error "there was an error processing the request"

Hi,
In my sharepoint when I created a Managed meta data service application and opened it to create a term store it shows the error message Unable to process the request.
All the services in the farm are running and app pools are also running. But still I am not able to access the term store management tool page. Help me to fix it.
