unable to set the network card for device emulator

Hi All,

I am trying to write a mobile application. I am using VS 2005 with device emulator as Pocket Pc 2003. My OS is Windows server 2008.

I am getting an error that the Sql Connection cannot be opened. I tried using a webservice instead to get my data from a server,but then it throws an error "could not establish connection".
I had googled and found some articles regading setting up the "Virtual Machine Network Services" and I tried to set it up. The moment I enable it my system dumps physical memory and restarts. upon restart , I get a notification that installation of the "Virtual Machine Network drivers" failed.Virtual PC 2007 is not supported in my OS, and so I am not able to download the drivers from it.

Does anyone know, how to correct this.

Any help would be appreciated.
