I have a small application based on sql(MS Access or VB). I can printing a receipt of a form contain a subform also. But when printing, paper feed by printer is more than its content size, although form may shink and grow depend upon number of content(like a bill at grocerry). Here, number of content may vary from 1 to 100, so receipt lenght may also vary. So, please tell me about how to set a roll paper with fixed width(3"/4"), but variable lenght(1"-25"). Thank you in advance.

Windows has support for roll printers, but it isn't very good. You still have to print to a "sheet", but it is slightly easier to change its size.

I have written many applications for roll/receipt/label printers and I never use the Windows driver. Instead I write in the printer's native language e.g. EPL, HPGL/2, etc.

What make/model of printer are you using and what are its available languages?
