Visual basic wait function

Hey guys, am quite new into visual basic so don't be too mean :)

Am making internet monitoring program so i run into a problem.

So my program should monitor if network is available and do nothing while it is available, which i made it work, but problem is to make it do something when it disconnect and then reconnect again.

thanks in advance! hope you understand my question.
