what is the exact process to install phonegap on window?

i want to use phonegap to develop mobile application, for which i want to install phonegap. i have already gone through many docs for phonegap installation. but when i am doing so like first install nodejs than type on cli npm install -g phonegap.
but i am getting error,'
so please tell me how to install phonegap on window?
