Hi,

I have try to access informix db, using Informix sdk client 2.9 and VPN in windows 7 64 bit OS.

Now I am getting "The 'IFXOLEDBC.2' provider is not registered on the local machine." error.

I try to re-install Informix sdk client and reconfigure all.

But it wont work.

Any body can guide me to fix this issue.

Could it be a bitness problem? Is the system where it works 32-bit? (I'm always running into that problem with the ACE engine.)

If you get an odd error, try Google first. Just feed it the whole error message:
Google "The 'IFXOLEDBC.2' provider is not registered on the local machine."[^]
