I used to see many sites created using Photoshop templates, they were really ugly and easy to recognize as such. (Have you heard the term "Photoshop disaster? Of course, it's not to blame Photoshop but people abusing it and/or thinking that Photoshop is the only graphics software. :-) These days, it looks like this lame went out of fashion. Of course, you could use Photoshop to prototype the UI (but open-source Inkscape would be better) or create regular images...

Anyway, this question had little to do with software development; I would rather consider it off-topic...
