How to access details of web grid or any list item updated on controller after http post

Please can any one tell me the way of doing grid work like we all do in asp.net application. and when we add or update content in grid then we can access it on any event. so please tell me how to implement it on MVC 4 application..

1. i have a page with IEnumerable object model which binds my web grid on page.

2. then what i want is add or updation of any details in grid should reflect as updated IEnumerable model.

Please help me out. if you have some example then please share it.
