Create an email, add an image, send it to yourself. Then use your mailer to examine the message source and you will see how it is encoded into the message.

what do you mean by creating an email? programmatically? what is the mailer? e.g. outlook?
if yes, how can i use it for examining the message?

my problem is, that always the image is in the attachment, instead of in the textbody...
i did set content-disposition to inline...

Sorry I don't understand what you mean? Whether the image is sent as an attachment or inline is irrelevant, since it all gets transmitted as one complete message. Like I said, create a message with any mail client, with an image in it and mail it to yourself. You can then examine the message source to see how it is encoded.

The message source is what makes up the content of the message. Mail clients do not normally show it as it makes little sense; text and images are rendered to be readable, and the message source is hidden, just like web pages. You just need to use your mail client's menu to find an option that lets you see the source in its raw format.
