How to use certificate between my winform application and aspx page

Hi,

I have developed a windows application. and some aspx pages for authenticating to to the server.
Now my boss wanted to make the authentication encrypted, and he sent me a certificate.
He tells to extract the private key from the .pfx file, and use it at the server,
I don't know how to do it? Can anybody please help me how can I do it ?

Yes,,,, But using RSA encryption I can encrypt only limited characters... what are the other techniques ?
