Configure Data Source; 'add connection' pop-up disappears

Hi,
i use VS2008 and MySql(mysql-connector-net-6.2.3)
when trying to get a new connection for a SqlDataSource in VS2008:
I'm able to choose the 'MySQL database' and the 'add connection' pops up!
as soon as I'm typing ANY character in either of the fields (server name, user name, password) the pop-up disappears! as soon as I type any character it disappears!
If i click on 'Test connection' I get: 'Test connection succeded'
I of course installed the connector SW again
any how i followed this links but don know wat happend to this guy....
