RDLC Report, Export to excel shows corrupted data

HI All,

I have been working with RDLC reports and they are working pretty well since now. But currently i am facing a problem that whenever i tried to export the report in excel using the built-in export functionality, report gets exported to my machine but shows the corrupted data(symbols etc).

while export to PDF works fine. so any idea how to resolve this or why its happening.??

Any help would be really appreciated. :)
