How to do auto search for dropdownlist items

Hi,

I have 5000 items in my dropdown list it is tacking time to select particular item out of 5000.so I want to search the dropdown like textbox auto search functionality.

Please help me.

best way to tackle is by reducing the record.

In other words, get 10 records at a time to display on the dropdownlist and when somebody inserts a filter get another 10 records by the filter.
