I have a number of workbooks that have been encrytped and therefore have passwords. These workbooks are linked to a master document designed to monitor changes made to each workbook. This works absolutely fine, but when I open the master workbook I am prompted to enter the passwords for each of the other workbooks! Obviously this is a tad annoying!

Is there any way that I can open the master workbook without having to enter each password?

I think you can specify the password in the Open method. Check the VBA help.

As Richard MacCutchan has mentioned in the comment to the question, use VBA as is shown here: Linking to a password protected workbook[^]

I would suggest you to remove protection from source workbooks. Better move them to single folder and manage the users rights from that level. It's much easier and less confusing.
