How does the "I've solved this myself" question button work on code project?

I have a some questions whose solution I have discovered on my own.
I clicked the "I've solved this on my own " button , but there was no difference.

So how does the button work to tell people they shouldn't border again?

You are thinking too hard about this. It is the same thing.

1 solution

As the text suggests, you have arrived at an answer and you don't need help from people in the forum and the question is effectively closed.

Correct, my 5. I would also highly discourage inquirers from publishing their own answers. Many even formally accept such answers, which is often (maybe not always) is just the abuse. Who needs to know if an inquirer makes some mistake and fixed is later? This is just the garbage. If someone think that there is some valuable finding, nothing prevents them from publishing, say, a Tip/Tricks article. Otherwise, nothing is needed.

Yes, a highly inadvisable thing to do since it may invoke repercussions from forum members.

But I have done that for a number of question in the lasy two days and don't read closed when I viewed them again.
I have asked quite a reasonable number of questions in the last two weeks and have been able to get their sulution on my own.
I just wanted to keep people away from question whose answer I already have thereby saving there precious time.
