Hello, Thanks for coming.

I'm having trouble to set up smtp server on my windows 7 (not windows server version).

I already installed the iis, and I choose smtp tools on administration tools.

after the installation complete, I open the iis, and doesn't see any smtp menu.

hope u can help me to set up this service on windows 7, I want to try this tutorial for setting up webmail on asp.net :)

You will probably find that network boxes now block smtp traffic from machines that are not "recognized" by some sort of authority. Exactly what that means will change from year to year.

Most articles that document how to use SMTP (including writing an SMTP server) were created before spam became a big problem in the internet world.
