PS3 games are stored somehow on the PS3 BD format, but when I insert a PS3 disc in to my Blu-ray drive on my PC, nothing happens.

Is the problem any or all of the following:

1.Unrecognizable filesystem.

2.Unrecognizable Blu-ray disc formatting.

3.Something else related to mounting a PS3 BD disc.

I would like to reverse engineer PS3 games for emulating them, yet I can't even mount the discs. What would be the steps, in any magnitude, to solve this issue? Thanks.

Its illegal, we won't help you reverse engineer for emulation. Contact Sony and get rights, they will provide information you need, but I doubt they will give it to you.
