Code 80245001

Windows 7 Enterprise.
It's started 4 days ago (also in Security Essentials).

I did:
1. Restore to 5 days back
2. Intensive Googleing (done everything I found)
3. Clean up Windows Update storage (so know it thinks I never updated nothing...)
4. Run from antivirus disk to find potential viruses
5. Run Microsoft's Fix tool (3 of them)

Has anyone a suggestion how to resolve it...

May want to try this question over at SuperUser (StackOverflow sister site).

1 solution

Try to restart windws update services:
CSS
net stop wuauserv
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\wups2.dll
net start wuauserv

and windows.

If it won't help, stop windows update services, rename download folder
CSS
%windir%\SoftwareDistribution

to
CSS
%windir%\SoftwareDistribution.old

and run windows update services again.

It it won't help, pleae let me know.

Thanks for your help...
But the second is on my list (3), and now tried the first - no good...

Clean up is not enough, you need to stop windows update services first.

Of course - that how I did it...
