Skype integration into mobile platform (iOS and Android)

I have a task to integrate Skype into application (mobile). I only need a Skype chat. No video or audio calls, no file transfer. Only chat. I was "very happy" when I read that SkypeKit has no longer support.
I install Skype/XMPP gateway Karaka on the server - but it's not too good solution and it requires a jabber account (it's not a problem for me but for user...)
Official URI scheme - it's not an integration.
So, anyone solved this problem or know how to deal with this problem?
