Hi Every one,
Which one is simpler to learn and coding, Ruby or java?
Posted

Answer for these kind of questions is Depends.

It's based on your interest & previous experience(background). For example, if you know C or C++, Java is good option. If you know VB then VB.NET/C# is good option.

And why did you choose Ruby & Java? Why didn't you choose other languages such as C#?

It's based on need too. Like in your area what the companies want...

Use Google for comparisons
http://www.google.com/search?q=Ruby+vs+java[^]
And first link from search
Ruby vs Java[^]

Like thatraja mentioned this question depends on several things.

In my thoughts you should not search for the language which is easy to learn, you should choose the language which fits your needs (ok, most probably hard for you because you starting).

Anyway, from my point of view:

Java: relatively easy

Ruby: Very interesting concepts behind it like "convention over configuration (CoC)" and "don't repeat yourself (DRY)"

Syntax is a minor matter, the concept counts
