what is benefits of distance in PROTO directive

when i set value for distance i initialize what ?!!

How about reading the documentation for your assembler? These distance specifier help to remove ambiguity for call instructions when using INVOKE, how to generate call address: via 32-bit or 64-bit registers, near (withing the current segment) or far (segment:offset)...
