I am currently working on visual studio extensibility..
I have build a ATL project using Visual Studio 2008 given template and customize it by adding code and some methods...
But now I want to add this project to the "Add Projects" option in visual studio 2008 so that I can use it again and again ,but i don't know how to do that.

Can any body help in this matter?

Not a question (Can anybody help does not count, of course :-). "I don't know" is not informative.

Sorry I think I didn't make myself clear..

Let me explain you it clearly, I want to make a new project template in visual studio 2008 by making some customization in existing "ATL Project" template in visual studtio 2008..

please tell me how to proceed as i am new to Extensibility ?

1 solution

search in the installation directory like C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC

for folders with "templates". There is a hole bunch and work with the approbiate. It isnt too hard to understand: it is working with some text macro processing.

Dont put to much effort in it, becaus Microsoft likes to change it every new release. You better work with a newer version of Visual Studio like 2012...
