What is the best way to read specific values from text files and store in ssis variable

Hi,

I have a small issue, I have a text file that is a log for some files I copy over to certain destinations. Each file that is copied successfully gets it's filename written to this text file and at the end it the total number of success copies as well total failures.

Now the problem I face is that I need to make these success and failure counts appear in a sql task in ssis that sends out an email, currently it does not include these counts but I would like to have these in. Is there a way to read these counts from a text file and pass it to the email step in ssis?
