I have created one InfoPath list and published it to my SharePoint test site. Now I want to publish the same InfoPath list to my final SharePoint site. When I open or 'save as' the InfoPath list, the previously published site location is always attached to it. But I want to change the publish location to different site. If I am not able to do that then I need to create similar InfoPath list and then publish it to different location. But it's all wastage of time.

you can achieve this by the "save as template" way...

step 1:- open your sharepoint list in sharepoint designer
step 2:- there is an option in the ribbon "save as template"
step 3:- click it.. and it will save list template in solution gallery. or List templates. (dont forget to check the "include content" option and list template will be saved in .stp type)
step 4:- download it and save it on local pc.
step 5:- now open the sharepoint site in which you want that list.. go in site actions--->site settings-->list templates----> add document or upload document---->browse the list template(.stp type file) stored on loacal pc----> upload it.

step 6:- open the create dailog box by clicking the "create"(view all site contents page). in that dialog box, you can see the your list. select that and create it.. done...

you will get your list of sharepoint test site in final sharepoint site. :) :)

Excellent Vanita..!

Actually previously I was trying to save InfoPath list as a template but as you suggested to save SharePoint list as a template(attached with InfoPath list) is perfectly working. Thanks for your help.

I want to add little in that as it would be helpful to others. When I created list in my Final SharePoint site from list template,I added data into that. If requirement changes for ex. to add one more textbox in InfoPath list then what to do. We do not suppose to make changes in InfoPath list and then again publish it to SharePoint test site. Because it is not desired to create new list template as data would get lost in our Final SharePoint site. And for that I find the solution from SrinivasSP2010 as follows..

Step 1 : First create SharePoint list from template in your final SharePoint site as discussed here by Vanita.
Step 2 : Open InfoPath Designer and in that choose SharePoint list option.
Step 3 : Provide your final SharePoint site list URL and open InfoPath list attached to it.
Step 4 : Redesign the list as per the new requirements.
Step 4 : Now, once you click on Publish then it will get Published to the SharePoint final site list location.

I know it's simple for those who have worked on InfoPath but If you follow these steps then you are not going to lose your data and you will be able to modify your list in InfoPath as well.

Thanks to Vanita and SrinivasSP2010.. :)
