Excel cannot understand single space exported from SQL column

Hi Friends,

I am working on a project which involves export of data from sql server 2008 management studio to excel sheet.
The problem is that one of the columns has value ' ' i.e single space.
When this value is exported to excel sheet.It treats it as null.

How can i make excel to treat incoming value as single space only.

I am implementing everything in SSIS.
First i create excel sheet through SSIS script task using c#.All the columns in excel are created as "string".
Then i use a package to export from sql to that excel.
Next i try to import that excel back to sql table.
