how to add rdlc subreport in main rdlc report using c# windows application 2010?

Hi, i m working on rdlc reports and i m new on these reports i have a problem with subreport.
i made two separate reports with two seperate Datasets . Seperate they are working but when i try to make them one master and one subreport i can't get subreport data.I did this process.

1: subreport -->Report Data--> parameters -->add parameters --> paramete name (deptname) .
2: mainreport-->rightclick-->subreport properties-->parameters-->pass value

add the same paramter name (deptname) and for value use master report Edeptname.
but my subreport don't get data i can't understand where i am wrong plz help me if it is possible give me any complete Toturial on this .
