Hi,

I am a software developer (ASP.NET etc..) with over 10 years of dev experience. I am thinking about learning SAP (certification) to add more skills to my skill set. I do enjoy coding. However I think gaining SAP skills and then working in large industry with complex processes will give me experience which is important at much senior position.

Do you think its a right thing to do, Bearing in mind break from my current work for about 3-6 months to get certifications and then gaining entry (prob. a junior level) in the industry? Bare in mind I am not looking go into SAP development.

Thanks,
Posted

"right thing to do", if that is what you want to do, then it's the right thing to do. How would you expect complete strangers on the internet to know what is "right" for you?

I think that's excellent solutions. I've heard that in 3-6 months period is enough to cover many things.
