How to Disconnect all active connections in postgreSQL 8.0 ?

I need to drop my postgreSQL Database from my windows application.
But,If Clients are connected to that Database It throws exception.
In postgreSQL 9.1 pg_terminate_backend() is working for disconnect all active connections before drop my database but,i need to done same thing in Postgres 8.0
