word file asks for password

i used a winword control component to open a word document inside the form .it works fine..but when i try to open the saved document it asks for a password .I havnt given a password anywhere and cannot open the doccument now.
i used the following code

WinWordControlMod1.SaveDocument(stri + ".doc")

If you have not directly added a password to this file then I can only assume that your code has a bug that has corrupted the file before you saved it. If you have the original file then you should be able to compare the two to try and diagnose the problem.

Have you seen this: Documents.Open Method()[^]?

have you tried just leaving the password blank and yea not enough info.
