How to free up my disk space easily?

Every time, it’s let me fell very headache to arrange my document, I wish I could have a list of my documents with different types of files then I can delete it easily if I make sure it’s useless. Well, anyone can introduce a kind of software which can help me to do this? In addition, it must be very safety^-^
