asp timer control effects in entire page - but it should effect only on its own update panel not whole page

HI,

In my application.aspx page i have two update panels. In one updatepanel contain only one asp timer control and its interval time 30000 (3 secs), but other update panel have no timer control. also i mentioned some logic in Tick event. but debug the application.aspx page, the entire page is refreshing for every 3 seconds. This is should not be happend. Only timer's updatepanel only should refresh but not entire page. for this i browsed all related sites.

Please its urgent requirements...
